Elkan Baggott has signed his first professional contract with Ipswich Town.
The central defender put pen to paper on a deal that will see him stay at Portman Road until the summer of 2023, with the Club having the option of an additional 12 months.
Elkan made his debut for Blues against Gillingham in the Papa John's Trophy back in October, keeping a clean sheet at the heart of the defence as Paul Lambert's side won 1-0.
He was also part of the travelling squad to Plymouth in December, and was named on the bench against Sunderland at Portman Road on Tuesday, although he is yet to make his league debut for the Club.
The 18-year-old has also represented Town U23s and U18s this season, and featured in the stunning comeback victory over Fulham in the FA Youth Cup last December.
